1. Arrive Saturday night and sleep in tents. If you want, meet at Skar at 18.30 (new time) or walk yourself later.
2. Attend Saturday night entertainment in Oslo, keep it going and enter the special early morning Ultima-Oslo-Fagervann-bus leaving central Oslo at 04.30.
3. Get out of bed quite early, drive/bike to Maridalen and join us.

Nattemperaturen ser ut til å være normalt 3-7 grader, så ta med varmt tøy, lue, og glem ikke gode ullsokker.
Det er noen bløte partier på stiene. Derfor kan gummistøvler være en god idé. Ellers anbefales vanntette turstøvler.

Where on earth is Fagervann?

The concert is Sunday morning 13. Sep 2009 at 06:30.
It’s a 3 km easy hike from Skar or Maridalen skole, Maridalen, Oslo (bus 51).
Start walking more than 1 hour in advance in the morning (1:15 is recommended) of the concert to make sure you actually will get there and get a chance to settle down without haste. Or join us at Skar at 18.30 Saturday night and sleep in your tent.
Or attend Saturday night entertaintment in the city and catch the extremely early special Ultima-Fagervann bus.

Things are connected. This is the obvious but essential truth that underpins all of Knut Olaf Sunde’s activities.

Regardless of whether he composes music for a particular geological formation in the mountains, or concentrating on his other great passion, infrastructure and transportation planning, the activity ultimately revolves around the same theme; thinking thoroughly about how things are interconnected, from overarching levels down to the most minute details.

Car from Oslo 571 km and 9 hours: E6 heading Trondheim to Dombås, then E136 heading Ålesund to Moa, then E39 heading Bergen to car ferry Solevåg-Festøy, continue E39 to Barstadvik. Turn left on small road (signs for Erdal), then private gravel toll road to Barstadsetra or Melbøsetra (until the roads ends).
Bus: Nor-way bussekspress or Timekspressen. Search for bus stop Festøya f.kai (4 km from Barstadvik). Ask the bus driver to stop in Barstadvik.
General public transport information: call 177 from within Møre og Romsdal county / +47 71 58 78 00 from elsewhere.
Airports:
Ålesund airport, Vigra. 45 km, a car ferry and 1:15 hours by car away.
Ørsta-Volda airport, Hovden. 39 km and 41 min by car away.
Accomodation: Reiselivsbasen

The hike is in variable and rugged terrain and starts with a 600 m climb: steep, narrow path in birch wood, grassy and heathery mountain sides, scree and a string to pass a short, steep stretch. Use trekking shoes and adequate clothing for a day in the mountains. Bring your own food for the day.
The hike to the first performance position is normalt a little more than 2 hours. The event is free – all you have to do is appear at Barstadsetra at the published time. The first concert is about three hours after published start time. We’ll be back by the cars after some eight hours.

Buss med Nor-way bussekspress eller Timekspressen. Søk på Festøya f.kai (4 km fra Barstadvik). Bussene går gjennom og stopper i Barstadvik.

Fotturen går i variert ulendt terreng, med 600 m stigning: bratt sti i bjørkeskau, gresslier, lyngbakke, ur og streng forbi et bratt bergparti. Fjellstøvler og turklær. Ta med niste. Oppstigningen tar normalt drøye to timer. Arrangementet er åpent, og det er bare å møte på Melbøsetra/Barstadsetra på publisert tid. Første konsert er ca. 2,5 timer etter publisert starttid. Regn med at hele turen tar litt over 8 timer.
